My name is Zack Doty, missionary with Antioch Baptist Church Planters.  I am married to my lovely wife Charish (anniversary: 7/22/06).  We have three children named Charleigh (8/31/10), Nathaniel (9/25/12), and Gage (11/24/14).  My sending church is Central Baptist Church in Gainesville, TX pastor Tyler Bittner.  We were sent out of Central in 2021 as church planting missionaries.  I graduated from Norris Bible Baptist Seminary also in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies.

We have a website to elaborate as to who we are at https://abcplanters.org.  Our Doctrines of Faith can be found here:  https://abcplanters.org/doctrines-of-faith.

Overall our ministry is to help revitalize and/or start churches.  The core of my ministry is to help churches plan their next church plant and/or be involved in a church plant.

For a quick recap of how the Lord has allowed the Doty’s to serve thus far, in January of 2021 we went alongside Gospel Light Baptist Church in Roanoke, TX with pastor Doug Ellis.  Covid hit them really hard.  We served there for 8 months to love, encourage, aid, and reenergize them.  As we were there, I had the opportunity to preach in the Sunday school, Sunday afternoon, and midweek services.  This was able to give Bro. Doug some time to rest and be fed from the Word of God.  We also helped start a youth group and to transition that over to a member to continue the youth work.  With Covid bringing about uncharted times and uncertainties the outreach we did was canvasing through Roanoke and some of Trophy Club.

Our next opportunity was to partner with Sante Fe Baptist Church where Bro. Heath Van Zandt was called of God to plant a church in Rhome, TX.  We went alongside Bro. Heath where we helped in the remodel of the church’s first location quite extensively.  My wife and I are not professionals at construction work but God has taught us many things through the (continual) remodeling process of our home.   We have some knowledge of sheet rocking, mudding, texturing, painting, trim work, sanding, building, and more.  We helped in Sunday school as I would teach the adult class and my wife would teach in children’s class.  I had the opportunity to preach Sunday mornings, evenings, midweek services, or whenever we could to be a help to Bro Heath and Antioch Baptist Church. Bro. Heath and I conversed frequently about different outreach opportunities including city relationships be it city manager, police force, and /or fire department.  We served in Rhome for 1 year and 4 months.  We went out at least once a week in the summer of 2023 to help with the remodel at the church’s new building.  Exciting to see what God is doing in Rhome through Antioch Baptist Church.

Throughout the last few years, I have also been able to fill the pulpits of churches that are between pastors and trying to be a help where we can.  I have formulated a few different resources for churches in need.  This includes guidance on a pulpit committee and also a compilation of all like-minded Baptist Colleges / Seminaries for churches to reach out and communicate a need for a pastor, youth pastor, music director, ect.  There is a need in churches everywhere.

Current and future works.  We have partnered with Worth Baptist Church to start a church planting ministry.  We had a goal of Worth planting a church and starting services as soon as God provides a location.  Bro Gillit has connected me with his real estate agent, and we are currently evaluating and few different locations for the church plant.  I am planning to go alongside and help with logo and website creation to help save money to be able to re-allocate those funds elsewhere. I have visited the city of Benbrook (possible location for church plant), the YMCA, and Benbrook’s chamber to gather community events where we can have outreach opportunities.  There is so much more work to be done, but we are getting there by God’s grace.  Please pray for us in the church planting endeavor.

I currently have a full-time job to support my family. We have such a burden to be able to do so much more. As of now, we are around 12% support.  Our main overhead is gas.  We currently live in Gainesville, TX and so far all of our work has been at least an hour away.  We are praying about moving to the Fort Worth area to be closer, but there are some other hurdles.  I also have the opportunity to teach at Norris Bible Baptist Seminary.  If you would please pray for us as we plant and revitalize churches. If you would like to have us in to present our ministry you may contact me at (903) 267-7382 and support is sent through IBFI missions P.O. Box 151259 Forth Worth, TX 76108.
