Doty Packet

My name is Zack Doty and am married (7/22/06 is our anniversary) to my lovely wife Charish.  We have 3 kids named Charleigh (8/31/10), Nathaniel (9/25/12) and Gage (11/24/14).  My home church is Central Baptist Church in Gainesville, TX with my pastor being Tyler Bittner.  We were sent out of Central in 2021 as church planting missionaries.  I graduated from Norris Bible Baptist Seminary also in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree.

We have a website to dig into who we are at  Our Doctrines of Faith can be found here: .

Overall our ministry is to help revitalize or start churches.  The core of my ministry is to help churches plan their next church plant and/or be involved in a church plant.

For a quick recap of what the Doty’s have done thus far is in January of 2021 we went along side Gospel Light Baptist Church in Roanoke, TX with pastor Doug Ellis.  Covid hit them really hard.  We were there for 8 months to help them, love on them and reenergize them.  As we were there, we preached in the Sunday school, Sunday afternoon and midweek service.  This was able to give Bro. Doug some time to relax and be fed from the Word of God.  We also helped start a youth group and to transition that over to a member to continue the youth work.  With covid bringing about a weirdness and uncertainty the outreach we did was canvasing through Roanoke and some of Trophy Club.

We then partnered with Sante Fe Baptist Church where Heath Van Zandt was called of God to plant a church in Rhome, TX.  We went along side Heath where we helped in the remodel quite extensively.  My wife and I and not professionals at carpentry work but have remodeled our house to some extent and tried to be a help in sheet rocking, mudding, texturing, painting, trim, sanding, building, and more.  We helped in Sunday school as I would do adult and my wife would help in the kid’s class.  We preached Sunday morning, evenings, midweek or whenever we could to be a help to Bro Heath.  Heath and I talked quite a bit about different outreach events including city relationships be it city manager, police force, and /or fire department.  We were in Rhome for 1 year and 4 months.  We are also going out at least once a week since the end of June 2023 to help with the remodel at the new building.  Exciting to see what God is doing in Rhome through Antioch Baptist Church.

Throughout the last few years, I have also been able to fill the pulpits of churches that are between pastors and trying to be a help where we can.  I have formulated a few different resources I have sent to a few churches on a pulpit committee and also a compilation of all like-minded Baptist Colleges / Seminaries for churches to reach out and communicate a need for a pastor, youth pastor, music director or whatever need.

Current and future works.  We have partnered with Worth Baptist Church to start a church planting ministry.  We have a goal of Worth planting a church and starting services in the fall of 2023.  Bro Gillit has connected me with his real estate agent, and we are currently evaluating and few different locations for the church plant.  I am also going along side and helping with logo and website creation to save money and be budget friendly.  Last week I went by the city of Benbrook (possible location for church plant), the YMCA and Benbrooks chamber to gather community events where we can have outreach opportunities.  There is way more work to be done, but we are getting there by God’s grace.  Please pray for us in the church planting endeavor.

I do currently have a full-time job to support my family.  As of right now we are around 12% support.  Our main overhead is gas.  We currently live in Gainesville, TX and so far all of our work has been at least an hour away.  We are praying about moving to Fort Worth area to be closer, but there are some other hurdles.  If you would please pray for us as we plant and revitalize churches.
